The creation of an independent Ministry of Human Rights is an indication of the importance that Government of Pakistan attaches to issues of human rights’ abuses. This Ministry will make all out efforts to ensure universal access to a system of social justice that checks and discourages violations of human rights. This, in turn, will lead to eradication of these violations from the society.
We must make sure that our society understands and respects that, without due process, no individual or group of individuals can be deprived of its / their fundamental rights by anyone including any of the state organs. Furthermore, no discrimination can be made on the bases of religious beliefs, race, language, ethnicity, gender, etc.
