Furthermore, Deputy Director, presented an overview of the implementation status of the National Action Plan on Business and Human Rights during 2025, highlighting the progress achieved since the previous meeting of the Steering Committee. The discussions focused on the implementation of actions under Priority Area 1 (Financial Transparency, Corruption and Human Rights) and Priority Area 8 (Access to Remedy for Human Rights Violations Resulting from Business Activities), in line with the decisions taken during the 5th Steering Committee Meeting. Participants were briefed on key developments, achievements, and challenges encountered in implementing the Action Plan across various sectors.

Representatives from the Provincial Human Rights Departments shared updates on the implementation of the National Action Plan within their respective provinces. The presentations highlighted progress in institutional coordination, policy initiatives, awareness-raising activities, and collaboration with relevant provincial departments to advance business and human rights commitments. Participants exchanged experiences, identified common implementation challenges, and discussed opportunities for strengthening coordination and knowledge sharing among provinces.

The meeting concluded with closing remarks by the Federal Secretary for Human Rights, who thanked all participants for their active contributions and constructive recommendations. He reiterated the Government's commitment to ensuring the effective implementation of the National Action Plan on Business and Human Rights and emphasized the importance of sustained collaboration among federal and provincial departments and employers' organizations, workers' representatives, and development partners in advancing Pakistan's business and human rights program.
