UNICEF Pakistan Country Representative Ms. Pernille Ironside, along with her delegation, met Federal Minister for Human Rights Senator Azam Nazeer Tarar to discuss strengthening cooperation on child rights in Pakistan. Discussions focused on preventing child abuse and developing a multi-year work plan with UNICEF to safeguard children from violence and exploitation. Ms. Ironside appreciated the Government’s initiatives, including the Child Marriage Restraint Act and reaffirmed UNICEF’s commitment to continued partnership. Both sides pledged to work closely together to build a safe and nurturing environment for every child in Pakistan.
