Ministry of Human Rights, through its Transgender Protection Centre and in collobartion with the Forum for Dignity Initiatives organized a Gender Sensitization Workshop at the National Police Academy. Police officers from Islamabad and Punjab participated in the event aimed at promoting respect and understanding for the transgender community. Chief Guest Ms. Saba Sadiq, Parliamentary Secretary for Human Rights, stressed the pivotal role, law enforcement officers play in safeguarding the rights of all citizens, regardless of gender identity. She highlighted the need for empathy, compassion, and a strong commitment to enforcing laws that protect transgender individuals. She also encouraged the participants to take their learning forward in their professional duties, emphasizing that inclusivity and human dignity must be at the forefront of their responsibilities as officers.
