Federal Minister for Law & Justice and Human Rights Senator Azam Nazeer Tarar welcomed the newly appointed High Commissioner of Canada to Pakistan, Mr. Tariq Ali Khan, during a courtesy call in Islamabad today.
They discussed cooperation in legal reforms, access to justice, human rights frameworks and investment facilitation. The High Commissioner appreciated Pakistan’s progress on human rights legislation and institutional reforms and noted strong interest from Canadian investors.
Senator Azam Nazeer Tarar also highlighted the launch of the Case Management System to improve judicial efficiency and transparency nationwide.
Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to enhancing collaboration in the areas of law and justice, human rights, and exploring new avenues for investment particularly in the mining and resource sectors.
