Provincial Consultation on List of Issues Related to Pakistan’s Second Periodic Report on
ICESCR
Ministry of Human Rights Islamabad, through collaboration with Treaty Implementations Cell,
Human Rights Department, Government of the Punjab successfully conducted one day
consultation with all relevant provincial stakeholders on 1st July, 2024 in Faletti’s Hotel, Lahore
on List of Issues related to Pakistan’s Second Periodic Report on International Covenant on
Economic, Social and Cultural Rights. Furthermore, List of Issues related to International
Convention on Elimination of all Forms of Racial Discrimination were also discussed as Pakistan
is set to defend its report before treaty body in August, 2024. The session provided an avenue to
learn mutually and share updates on all important initiatives which correspond with issues raised
by the treaty bodie
