The Human Rights Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, H.E. Mr. Wim Geerts, and Sweden’s H.E. Ms. Irina Catharina Constance Schoulgin-Nyoni, along with the resident Ambassadors H.E. Mr. Robert-Jan Siegert (Netherlands) and H.E. Ms. Alexandra Berg von Linde (Sweden), called on Federal Minister for Human Rights Senator Azam Nazeer Tarar to discuss Pakistan’s ongoing human rights initiatives, legislative progress and avenues for strengthened cooperation.

The Human Rights Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, H.E. Mr. Wim Geerts, and Sweden’s H.E. Ms. Irina Catharina Constance Schoulgin-Nyoni, along with the resident Ambassadors H.E. Mr. Robert-Jan Siegert (Netherlands) and H.E. Ms. Alexandra Berg von Linde (Sweden), called on Federal Minister for Human Rights Senator Azam Nazeer Tarar to discuss Pakistan’s ongoing human rights initiatives, legislative progress and avenues for strengthened cooperation.
The Minister highlighted key reforms to protect women, children, minorities, etc. including the ICT Domestic Violence Prevention and Protection Act 2026, National Commission for Minorities and child marriage law reforms  and emphasized the role of independent institutions. Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to equality, inclusion and continued collaboration with international partners to advance human rights in Pakistan.
