This includes the combined 24th to 26th periodic report and a detailed response to the CERD Committee’s themes, showcasing Pakistan’s commitment to combating racial discrimination and aligning with international human rights standards.
The delegation comprises of Mr. Allah Dino Khwaja, Secretary of the Ministry of Human Rights, Ms. Samina Zahri, Chairperson of the Senate Functional Committee on Human Rights, and Ambassador Bilal Ahmad, Pakistan’s Permanent Representative to Geneva. Updates cover significant progress, including the integration of FATA into Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the first digital census, and major legal reforms. The review also highlights efforts to combat hate speech, protect minority rights, and support Afghan refugees, underscoring Pakistan’s dedication to human rights and international cooperation.
