Mr. Khalil George took oath of office as the care-taker Federal Minister for Human Rights on 17th August 2023. He is a seasoned and experienced politician with a distinguished political career spanning over a decade. Amazingly capable, intellectually rich, surprisingly competent, brilliantly experienced and with unique skills of leadership.  With clarity of thought and synergy, bearing no stigma of corruption, he is from the rare breed of clean politicians. He is known because of his nobility, brevity, immediacy, inquisitiveness, truthfulness and sincerity of purpose and passion.  He is widely respected across the national political spectrum due to his unwavering dedication and commitment towards democracy, constitutionalism, rule of law and justice for all.
He was born in 1972 in Quetta, Balochistan. He holds the degree of Bachelor of Arts from Balochistan University. He has been as Member National Assembly from 2013 to 2018. Accordingly, he was appointed as Parliamentary Secretary, Ministry of Religious Affairs & Inter-faith Harmony from 2013 to 2018. Electing as MPA he also served as Provincial Minister for Minorities Affairs and Human Rights of the Government of Balochistan. He has been Member of Ports and Shipping and Gilgit Baltistan Standing Committee. In past, he had been twice elected as Councilor of Quetta District in 1999. He was elected as Nazim for District Quetta in 2002. He served for 10 years being a Finance Director, House of Knowledge, Toghi Road, Quetta. He attended Security Workshop at National Defence University, Islamabad. He also made visits to UK Parliament, China Parliament, France Parliament and US Parliament. Mr. Khalil George is fluent in English, Urdu, Punjabi, Persian and Pashto languages.
